The Scarlet Letter: A

You've really got to see this.

And I quote:
I remember how the brilliant letter “A” idea was seared into my consciousness when I first read The Scarlet Letter in my college days. It led me to wonder why such a device is not used in today’s society. Would it not be a wonderful thing to be able to recognize sinners and unbelievers of every stripe by merely noting the colorful badges sewn onto their clothing?

Today, in an America filled with adulterers and baby-killers, an even worse sinner casts a shadow over them all—the atheist. Yet atheists are difficult to spot. They hide their sinister cult behind masks of smiles, science and soft, pleasant voices. Your next door neighbor might be an atheist. You just can’t tell.

Imagine if it was simple to identify atheists and their tainted works. Would it not be grand? Think how much easier it would be to protect your children’s eyes, ears and souls from atheists’ influences if their websites, books, movies and yes, even their very clothes, were clearly labeled with a bright scarlet “A”.


Don't forget to read some of the hateful words spewing out of the religious responders mouths. What the fuck is wrong with these people? Do they not realize that any Atheist in hiding is only afraid for their lives from hateful people like themselves? I would proudly wear "The Scarlet Letter" t-shirt, however, it's not in my size :(. Then again, we all know the religious folk would use it as a targeting device as Hitler did for the Jews with the star of David. Would you willingly walk into a modern day gas chamber? Because, it would, indeed get out of hand, if they had it their way.

What does "God" say about Children?

What does "God" say about Children? You may be surprised...

The bible places no value on childrens lives if they are younger then one month old, and even then, they aren't worth that much:

Leviticus 27:6
And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.



God's law sometimes requires the burning to death of pregnant women:

Genesis 38:24
And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.


Disobedient children shall surely be put to death:

Exodus 21:15
And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.


Exodus 21:17
And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.


Leviticus 20:9
For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.


Matthew 15:4
For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.


You must hate your children to be a follower of Christ:

Luke 14:26
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.



Parents should beat their children:

Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.


Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.


Proverbs 23:13-14
Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.



Like Abraham, parents should be willing to kill their children for God:

Genesis 22:1-2
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.


Genesis 22:10
And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.


Selling your daughter:

Exodus 21:7
And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.


Sometimes it's necessary to sacrafice your children to God as a burnt offering:

Judges 11:29-30
29Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon.

30And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,

Lot is a just and righteous man:

2 Peter 2:7-8
7And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;


Lot offered his daughter's to a sex-crazed crowd, and got drunk and impregnated them:

Genesis 19:8, 31-36
8Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:

32Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

33And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

34And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

35And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

36Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.


And we wonder why so many christians go around killing their children saying "God" told them to do it. Damn this book needs a warning label.

Suffer the little children?

This was brought to my attention by God Is For Suckers, and all I have to say is that I can't comprehend these peoples actions.

Texas Mother hangs herself, 3 children
HUDSON OAKS, Texas- A young mother who may have been depressed apparently hanged three of her small daughters and herself in a closet using pieces of clothing and sashes, authorities said Tuesday. A fourth child, an 8-month-old daughter, was also found dangling in the closet but was rescued by her aunt from the family's mobile home.



Medical Examiner rules womans death a suicide
FORT WORTH (AP) - Two of the three children killed in their Hudson Oaks home were probably awake when they were shot, and the shooting death of their mother was a suicide, the Tarrant County medical examiner said Thursday.

Dr. Nizam Peerwani ruled that the deaths of Sergio Perez, 10; Diego Perez, 9; and Bianca Perez, 4, were homicides. He also ruled that Dee Etta Perez, 39, died from a single gunshot wound to the left temple and she had "large quantities" of gunpowder on her hands. Toxicology tests are under way.


Jury accepts insanity defense for Mother who stoned sons
TYLER, Texas — Deanna Laney, who stoned her two young sons to death last year because she believed God commanded it, was legally insane and could not distinguish from right or wrong, a jury concluded Saturday.

Laney, a 39-year-old East Texas housewife, burst into tears and was visibly shaking for more than 30 minutes after Judge Cynthia Kent announced that the jury found her not guilty of capital murder by reason of insanity. Keith Laney, who testified that he still loves his wife of 19 years, remained composed throughout the reading.


Child-killer to leave hospital
A Plano woman found not guilty by reason of insanity in the 2003 drowning of her two daughters is now mentally stable and can leave a state hospital, a Collin County judge ruled Thursday.

State District Judge Mark Rusch signed the order releasing Lisa Ann Diaz from Big Spring State Hospital in West Texas after a little more than two years.


The Devil and Doyle Davidson
fatally severed her 10-month-old daughter’s arms with a kitchen knife in 2004. [Schlosser attended Water of Life Church in Plano Texas several times a week; her mother was concerned about her increasingly “bizarre” behavior; the child bled to death.


Andrea Yates
drowned her five children in the family’s Houston bathtub in 2001. [We are all conversant with Yates’ story, including her husband’s insistence on her homeschooling the children, and her post-partum depression.


Man who microwaved baby said he was under stress
Joshua Royce Mauldin, the 19-year-old Arkansas man accused of burning his 2-month-old daughter in a microwave in a Galveston motel room last week, was indicted yesterday on a charge of felony injury to a child — and he’s blaming the incident on stress, police say.

Last Thursday, Mauldin was alone in the motel room with the baby when he called the front desk for help, saying the baby had a bad sunburn and was bleeding. He asked the hotel staff to call 911; when police showed up, Mauldin told them that he had tripped and spilled boiling water on the baby. Later, he decided he was drinking the boiling water and spilled it — needless to say, officials suspected something wasn’t right with the story, but they were shocked to discover that the baby’s burns were actually caused by a microwave.

“I’ve been doing this for a lot of years and actually it brought tears to my eyes,” Galveston Police Sgt. Annie Almendarev told KHOU. “The baby is burned on the left side here, and it’s just really bad. Her hand is so swollen — if you’ve ever touched something hot, you know you get that big boil on your hand — it looks like she’s holding a ball in her little bitty hand. It was just heartbreaking.”

The baby is being treated at the UTMB Shriner’s Burns Hospital, where she’s had two skin grafts and is listed in critical but stable condition. Surgeon Dr. Art Sanford said no one at the hospital has experience with microwave-induced burns on humans; in fact, the hospital staff only found three other instances nationwide in which children were thought to have been burned in microwaves. Police believe Mauldin’s baby was burned for between 10 or 20 seconds, which Sanford said medical research shows can burn skin and muscle.


However, according to his wife, the devil made him do it
GALVESTON, Texas -- A woman blames the devil and not her husband for severely burning their infant daughter after the 2-month-old was put in a microwave, a officials said.

Eva Marie Mauldin said Satan compelled her 19-year-old husband, Joshua Royce Mauldin, to microwave their daughter May 10 because the devil disapproved of Joshua's efforts to become a preacher. Joshua Mauldin is from Warren, Ark.

"Satan saw my husband as a threat. Satan attacked him because he saw (Joshua) as a threat," Eva Mauldin said.

Jesus Christ Moved to Flordia!

How the hell did I miss this? According to Growing In Grace, Jesus Christ has retired and moved to Flordia! Unbelievably he has a lot of followers, who lavish him with gifts, houses, cars, and money and they really seem to believe he is Jesus. They also tend to hold lots of protests infront of other Chruches that seem to get out of hand quite often. According to these crazy wackadoo Christians, Jesus no longer cares about material wealth. Sin and Satan don't exisit, and prayer is a waste of time!

Victims Of Religion

I have run accross many people who are ignorant enough to believe that religion isn't harmful to others. Contrary to this belief, religion can be and is quite often. I will be focusing on some of the most innocent victims of religion, children (but let's not forget there are many other victims of religion other then children). Some will argue that these people were crazy, or not even religious at all, but sadly, that's not the case.

For starters, let's look at the definition of child abuse:
Child abuse is any action (or lack of) which endangers or impairs a child’s physical, psychological or emotional health and development. Child abuse occurs in different ways. All forms of child abuse and neglect are detrimental to the child, both physical and sexual abuse are crimes.

Child abuse may be:
Physical - severe beating, shaking, burns, human bites, strangulation.
Emotional - constant criticism, belittling and persistent teasing.
Sexual - fondling, exhibitionism, sexual intercourse, incest, pornography.
Neglect - absence of adequate food, shelter, emotional security, and medical care.

Children who've died due to medical neglect, because of religious practices:

IAN LUNDMAN
Age: 11 years
In: Minnesota
Year: 1989
Died from: Diabetes
Due to: Lack of medical treatment. His mother was a christian scientist and she
believed in faith-healing, and that her prayers alone would save her son.

MATTHEW SWAN
Age: 16 months
In: Michigan
Year: 1977
Died from: Spinal Meningitis
Due to: Lack of medical treatment. His parents, who were christian scientists, believed in faith-healing.

AMY HERMANSON
Age: 7 years
In: Flordia
Year: 1986
Died from: Diabetes
Due to: Lack of medical treatment. Her parents were christian scientists, and were convicted of felony child abuse and third-degree murder. Later the conviction was over turned due to religious exemption.

HARRISON JOHNSON
Age: 2 years
In: Flordia
Year: 1998
Died from: 432 Bee Stings
Due to: Parents refused to call 911 until 7 hours after the incident, 6 minutes after the 911 call the EMT's arrived to the toddler without a pulse and his pupils were fixed and dialted, he had been unresponsive for 30-45 minutes before they called 911. His parents were apart of a religious group called The Fellowship, which shuns all medical care because "all doctors practice witchcraft".

Children who were murdered in the name of "God":

MARGARET SCHLOSSER
Age: 11 months
In: Texas
Year: 2004
Died from: Bled to death
Due to: Dena Schossler calmly cut off her daughter's arms while listening to christian hymns. When police arrived, this devout christian was sitting in the living room, knife in hand, still listening to the music while her child was in the bedroom armless, bleeding to death and later died in the hospital. Her husband told police the night before she was talking about "giving her children to God".

JOSHUA LANEY (died)
LUKE LANEY (died)
AARON LANEY (critical)
Ages: 8 years, 6 years, 14 months
In: Texas
Year: 2004
Died from: Heads bashed in with large rock
Due to: Deanna Laney bashed her childrens heads in with a large rock becuase "God told her the world was going to end and she needed to get her house in order", which included killing her children, which she believed would resurrect soon after.
