Although I'm not sure I can really say much, I'm not one for magnificent long words, beautiful poems, or good advice... I can't say I've been very busy either, since I've only been working, taking care of the wee one, and playing a video game with my Hubby.
My Son has been doing wonderful, though I wish I could say the same thing about myself. He can say lots of new words and phrases, I can't even list them all! His favorite word is still "button" but along with that, "ut oh" is his new favorite phrase. He says "thank you" and your welcome" as well, he's a very polite baby! My favorite has to be "ut oh" though, he says it with so much enthusiasm, and in the cutest voice ever!
Work has been fine, though, I wish everyone from fountain wasn't leaving fountain to become a server. Tonight I was asked to stop acting so much like Julia (our boss), I think I will take that as a compliment, though I don't think it was meant to be one at all. I wasn't being bossy, just observant and trying to be helpful.
Perhaps I come off as a bitch, but I don't mean to, that's far from my intentions, I just don't want to a). get in trouble because I didn't say something to her, them, whoever it may be doing something incorrect or wrong, and b). her, them or whoever not to get in trouble and to know the proper procedures (and maybe care what the proper procedures are?).
A few things I find myself continually reminding people of in fountain is a). not to leave drinks in, or eat in the fountain area (health code violation), b). to label food items with dates (day dots), c). use the green scooper instead of the red scooper, or vise versa, or d). to stock or rotate food or dry stock items.
As closer, I need to make sure they do their job, so that I can do mine and not stress myself doing what they forgot to do, or going behind other people and redoing things they did wrong. My job is to close, plain and simple (ok, maybe not so simple).
Though yesterday one girl got an attitude with me asking "well if I'm doing all this, what do you do?", I wanted to say "excuse me?".. but instead I said, "I do a lot of things..." than started listing some things and said, "oh forget it, I'm not just going to list all the stuff I have to do", because it was pointless to do so.
Off topic slightly, if I even really had a topic? I lost 4 more pounds the other week, gained 3 back, but I'm now on my period so I don't have a accurate current weight, so I hope to update my ticker soon with a accurate weight and date!
