Now why do I want this job?
1. It's a great opportunity for the company to obtain a hard working, self-motivated person.
2. It's a great opportunity for me to obtain a job so I can provide for my family.
3. It would definitely add to my skills, especially helping me with my career later down the line as a Chef (since pastry is a portion of that).
4. They have a nice benny's package.
I was at the job fair for 5 hours (I got there 15 minutes after it started). I stood in line patiently waiting to fill out a piece of paper with my information on it, to turn in the registration form, and for my name to be called to watch a video, and for two separate interviews. I was lucky, many people didn't get a second interview.
What irritated me was that many people left before they even got into the room to register themselves, some left after they filled out the registration paperwork, some left after the video, and some even left after the first interview, and a lot of people there, already had jobs.
This irritated me because the people running the job fair ended up repeatedly calling names of people who had already left, wasting their time, and everyone else's time as well, besides, if you've already waited 3-4 hours, why not stay until your done? They obviously didn't want the job as badly as I did.
The first and second interview seemed to go very well. After the second interview, Ivory (the lady who interviewed me) told me that she would put my paperwork in the hire box and that I would get a call on Monday or Tuesday. I filled out the application online, like she asked me to, immediately when I got home.
I am very excited to see where this experience will lead me, and will be waiting patiently for my call from them. I have a wonderful feeling about this. If hired, I will start my training in February working Ft for $8 an hour.
