Movie Talk: No Spoilers.

I've been really bored recently so I've had some time to watch a few movies. I've watched: Man from Earth, Wrist Cutters: A Love Story, The Mist, and I Am Legend. Below I've put together some information about the movies and what I thought of them.

Man from Earth
Plot Summary: An impromptu goodbye party for Professor John Oldman becomes a mysterious interrogation after the retiring scholar reveals to his colleagues he is an immortal who has walked the earth for 14,000 years.

Genre: Sci-Fi.

I give this movie 10 stars, because it was a very pleasant experience! If you don't want your beliefs challenged, then I wouldn't recommend this movie. This movie had me on the edge of my seat through the entire thing, wanting to hear more! It is really a movie about the characters and the dialog, it's not often when you find a movie this good. It was an excellent movie, and I didn't expect the ending at all!

Wrist Cutters: A Love Story
Plot Summary: A film set in a strange afterlife way station that has been reserved for people who have committed suicide.

Genre: Comedy / Drama / Fantasy / Romance.

I give this movie 10 stars, because it was something new. I've never seen another movie like this, it was surprisingly original! This movie kept me guessing during the entire thing, and the ending was really heart warming.

The Mist
Plot Summary: A freak storm unleashes a species of blood-thirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole-up in a supermarket and fight for their lives.

Genre: Drama / Horror / Sci-Fi / Thriller.

I give this movie 8 stars, because it was pretty good, just like most movies based off of Stephen King novels, and the actors did really good as well. The only thing I absolutely hated about this movie was the ending! The ending pissed me off.

I Am Legend
Plot Summary: Years after a plague kills most of humanity and transforms the rest into monsters, the sole survivor in New York City struggles valiantly to find a cure.

Genre: Action / Drama / Fantasy / Horror / Sci-Fi / Thriller.

I give this movie 2 stars, because it sucked! The only thing going for this movie was Will Smith, who I don't even like as an actor. This movie was not entertaining. It was like watching a really bad remake (or clone) of 28 days later. Not to mention a few plot holes. They could have, and should have done better!
